    Air Cannons

Hey guys, im an avid air cannon builder and coniseur, i have built many cannons and have partialy constructed one for paintball usge. I will be using a 20 oz CO2 tank and a remote to fill the chamber, and i need to regulate the pressure down to close to a 100 psi. Could you put out some sugestions for a regulator to do so... thanks.

I would think a low pressure palmer stabilizer might do it. How large is the chamber? I've never built one before, just wondering how fast they usually recharge.

the easiest reg to use is a cocker pnuematic reg. you can get them for about $50. they will adjust from 0-150 PSI or so.

im not sure, but i think something like a gen-X regs would work the best. they are highly adjustable, and have a gauge right on them so you can fine tune it for filling your air chamber

belive me i have thought of these especially the cocker regulator but the problem with the cocker pneumatic regulator is diverting the air flow into 2 in pvc from the tiny hoses on cocker pneumatics if you have any ideas let me know and i have seen the genx regs but i think they are pricey ill look in to it again though

I have an air connon that I use a cocker pnuematic reg on. works really well. it only takes about 5 seconds to charge the air chamber.

there are two ways I have found that work very well. drill and tap for a 10-32 hole and then use a rock nipple (you can get these at palmers website)

the way I did it the first time was to simply dril a hole the size of the hose and stick it in the hole. then I expoxied it in place. have never had a problem with it.
