lvl 10 problem

hi,
i am having the same problem as cwuchu, (i have a retro valve with the 1.5 carier, one shim and the middle spring), with air venting out the back at speeds less then 300 fps. i ordered and installed a new regulator piston from agd, but i still have venting. what else can i try?

Yeah I have this too and it seems common across the AGD product line, my classic valve does the same thing. Some work fine with Level 10 and some don't. Havoc just worked mine over pretty good to go along with new spring pack and regulator piston and the best I've been able to get to is about 270 fps without venting.

I think I saw a thread where Havoc said that AGD would be producing a regulator piston with about 50 psi higher popoff setting. I think we will probably need to get one of them to fix this for good, I hope.

temilotzin - try the new piston and see if that does the job, if not please follow up.


Paintmanmike - try cutting 1/4 coil off the cut spring, that wont sacrifice any serious bolt softness and should let you chrono a tad higher.

Thanks for that input, I meant to ask exactly that at the end of the day at Ft. Paintball. It seemed I just needed a little bit more and a little "snip off the tip" of the spring seemed like a good idea. I'll try it and let you know how it turned out.
