    pin on a pinvalve

I was messing around w/ my mag the other day and my on/off was particularly hard to turn on, and it got stuck in, i couldn't turn it off once it was on. i ended up having to drain like 1200 psi out of my tank to be able to get it off, and when i finally took the tank off, there was an indent (prolly about a 1/16-1/8 inch deep) in the top of the pin from where the pin from the on/off dug into my tank. i fixed the problem w/ the on/off adaptor, but did i do any serious damage to my tank? will it still work? and if i did mess up the tank, can i just replace the pin?? or do i have to replace the whole tank?

    32* on/off adaptor
