Ok what the idea behind an ACE ?

The idea it that if there isnt paint in the breach it wont shoot. Neat idea eh ?

If you have paint in the breach and it wont shoot, then you need to adjust your ace setting using a small standard screw driver and follow the directions in the manual.

      hey robagd
i have a question on the ace
in the cd manual it says that
      00 is off
      01 single color paint
      02 two shell paint
ok but how do you get to ur 02? is it there?

or do you just put the dark color down and set it that way

      thanks bro

JMAC- you need to adjust the sensitivity. There is a small inset screw on the left hand side of the marker. Turn on the ACE, make sure there's a ball in the breech, hold the trigger down and turn the screw (anticlockwise if I recall) until the marker fires, then add two full turns.

With dual colour paint you may find that the marker stops firing, in which case you have to adjust the screw further until it fires again. This then can cause chops/misfires if the ball arrives "dark side down" as the ACE may sense it too early and allow the gun to fire. In this case you use ACE2 which adds a predetermined delay between the ACE detecting a ball and the marker firing, to allow the ball to drop fully into the breech. It works and doesn't add any noticeable delay to the firing rate.

Fire1811, you may have an older version of the software (pre ACE2). When you turn the marker on it should tell you the software revision on the LED. Get in touch with AGD and check if yours is the latest.

              The US X-Mags don't have a 02 Ace setting.

Why not? If it's just a software thing, we could get them flashed at any event a tech is at...

(I noticed that when I was looking at my future Xmag this weekend)
