Warp wiring problem

Well, I was using my RTP today and my warp wasn't firing with every shot (I have it hooked up via intelliframe). Anyway, since it worked fantastic last year, and this was the first time I was using it this year, I figured that I needed to adjust my switch (as a few days ago I pulled the frame off to better clean the gun).

Anyway, when I got home to adjust the switch, I noticed that the ground (black) wire for my warp connection came out of the end boot. So, this is probably the problem, as the connection was likely loose. However, it could be both problems - I could be having a bad day.

Anyway, if there is any doubt as to the connection problem, here are some snapshots I took just now:




Any help on the easiest way to fix this problem?

(As you can tell, I don't like messing with wiring)

Great, it seems that my warp is down completely.

I was showing the problem to someone, and when I turned the warp over (to take out the wheel and whatnot), the power cable just fell off of the warp.

I have to say I am at a loss as to how this should be fixed.

This warp is less than a year old - I suppose it may have a warranty on it...?

That just happened to my warp...I mean the wire coming off of the 9 volt connector thing. I just put some electrical tape to hold it in place and it works now..Dunno about the other problem

Do you have any experience soldering? Id go buy an extra set of battery cables from Radio Shack. Then de-solder the harness from the board, and solder the new one on. You said you dont like messing with wires, but its fairly simple. practice by soldering a couple wires together.

Or just find somone in your area who can do it for you

Yeah, soldering the wires back to the board seems the best solution.

I am going to the good old team tech to help me out, hopefully he can show me how to do it. Either way, it should get fixed this week.

tell him to use a lot of flux to tin those suckers all the way up into the insulation.

the farther into the wire the solder goes, the less chance of it breaking off. Ive seen this happen often, and most of the time the wire is breaking right at the end of the bare wire.
