EMAG: Frame disassembly - suggestions please...

Well, I'm ready to convert over to the ULE frame Tuna sold me and I've got a few questions. It appears to be straight forward - except for the removal of the solenoid, sear, and linkage. I'm sure I can get it out, but before hand I'd like to ask for assistance on doing it CORRECTLY

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks,

    -Calvin

It's pretty easy once you start unscrewing things. Of course don't loose any of the screws, and you can always go to AGD's site for a breakdown pic! I think the trigger is the hardest thing to take out
ok not as good of a pic as I thought

      Calivn -

take a 1/8" Drift punch and punch the Trigger pin out. Youwant to push it out the side of teh frame that the selector switch is on. If you give it 2 good wacks and it dosent move try the other side.

The noid is just held in with a screw on the back and teh PSB is held in with the grounding screw. That has to come out as an assembly.

After you have removed the rail pull the e-clip off of the solenoid plunger. Then you can tilt the sear forward and lift it right out.

When you press out the mode selector and safety be carefull not to lose the spring and ball bearing detents. When putting them back in the new frame I use a small allen wrench to feed the spring through the top hole to the bottom hole. Then hold the ball bearing down with the allen wrench through the top hole while. Pull the allen wrench out as you slide the safety or selector switch in.
