i beleive that a powerfeed wasmade for the fact that back in the day there wasnt a revvy, so they would use the excess gas to move the balls around in the powerfeed, hence making the gun feed faster. powerfeed. correct me if im wrong.

We did have revy's back then, although they were a little different than today.
The powerfeed helps prevent ball bobble caused by blowback air pushing the ball stack up the feed tube. In fact, the blowback air can be used to increase the acceleration of the next ball waiting above the breach, by causing it to bounce off the back wall of the powerfeed tube and into the breach.Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.
