    Barrel Leak and something funny

Ok guys....here's something weird for ya.

First off...I'm getting a small leak down my barrel when I actually grab by barrel and move it a little. I replaced my reg seat and the Blue washer/o-ring behind the bolt and I still get it. I do have a Level 10 installed...do you think it could be a shim issue?

Secondly...I was shooting El Tigres out of my boomstick (just as I've done many times before) and my after the day wore on...so did my barrel. Lemme explain. I noticed my Level 10 kicking in even when I wasn't ripping strings out. Then suddenly...a ball got jammed and the level 10 wouldn't kick it out. I took off the barrel (while paintball are whizzing by my head) and couldn't push the ball through. Finally, I called myself out and used a straight shot to push it through.

I looked thru the barrel and everything seemed fine except the barrel looked worn right where the balls drop. The inside of the barrel looked smooth as ever...just looked rough on the outside (towards the front of the gun) of the opening where the ball drops. Almost looks like my bolt had hammered it a few times. I grabbed my Brothers boomy and no problem. I'm not sure if I would have had the same problem with his had I kept firing...I didn't want to ruin 2 good barrels.

Anyone ever hear of this. El Tigre's are supposed to be small-medium bore. My dye is a standard.

I would say your boomstick is a little loose in the gun body. Try putting a wrap of tape under the barrel o-rings to help stabilize the barrel. You may also want to reduce the carrier size by one. It may help reduce bolt leakage.

If the barrel is loose, when you move it, it will come in contact with the side of the bolt. This will cause the bolt to jam on the inside of the barrel engaging the level 10 vent effect. This will also cause the bolt to leak when the barrel is pressed against the side of it causing the carrier o-ring to be not properly aligned with the bolt stem.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.

That makes so much sense it's scarey!

I'll try it tonight and let you know.

      Thanks
