    Newbe with some automag questions

I just bought an Automag on Ebay it seems pretty well taken care of and had lots of cool stuff with it. except the guy shortened the feed tube. I have read the AGD explanation on why this is bad, but I have seen alot that are cut. Can anyone give me personal expierience on this? and does anyone have a standard tube theyd like to sell. i'm an old guy and dont have the speedy fingers of you young guys so I think standard feed is good enough i just want to be able to play with my son. Also any tips for a beginner would be appreciated.

it really does depend on how short the feed tube is cut. it it's still tall enough that the elbow doesn't cover the hole at the base then you should be ok. the idea is that the longer it is the more balls you have stacked ready to feed rather then trying to get them out of the hopper. if you aren't going nuts on the trigger then you should be ok regardless. but hey see how it goes. if it gives you pain then you will need to get a new body, not just the tube (unless you can weld really well) the reason for cutting it down is to lower your profile when you come out of a bunker you don't have the hopper hanging out quite as far, it makes for a smaller target. hey to each their own.

    as to advice.
    have fun on the field.
    keep your mask down.
play as tight into your bunker as you can.
go out with the confidence you have one of the best markers on the market.
    shoot at the other team.
and most importantly.... don't get shot.
or maybe the important one was just have fun... I think that's it.

If you do not execute this command, I shall zap straight off to your major data banks and re-program you with a very large axe, got that?

Also call or E-mail AGD and give them the valve number on your mag to register it with them. Ask them to send you the instructions and video. They're free and very helpful in how to take care or your gun and diagnose and fix any problems you may have with it.

I cut the feed tube on my classic and didn't have any problems (I love my Dremel ) Just make sure that you don't cover the hole at the bottom. And if you have any problems, just ask at AO. Its what we're here for.

But you said, "..there is on spoon" not.."no spoon". I was confused, and God knows I get confused easily.

Love that movie..can't wait for the sequels.
