    freak barrel kit

    Hey everyone,
i know this has nothing to do with mags, but im gonna ask anyways...on the freak barrel kits, besides how it looks, why would you want to get a stainless back, i understand stainless can be polished and honed or whatever better for a smoother finish, but if you have an insert in there, what good does it do??
    thanks ahead of time

Personally I'd say the only reason is because they are shiny, and "stainless" makes people think it's great...no other reason.

I have an aluminium and a stainless back for my freak and I much prefer the aluminium one. The stainless back is made of very thin material and doesn't inspire any confidence. Particularly the edges of the aperture through you can see the bore size number- it's extremely fragile. The ally back is much meatier, feels more solid and IMHO looks much better. It also has the bonus that you can anodise it to your taste.

I would say durability. I have the stainless back on mine. I purchased it over the aluminum mainly due to the durability of the material. I shoot an EMag so weight isn't a factor since the marker is heavy already.

Some people like to balance the weight of the gun around abit, and throwing some stainless steel in there will do it.
