    X-mag "LOW BATT" problem

I have a X-mag with US spec boards. I have charged the battery for several hours 7-10 & then 24hours. I have a green light on the charger. How come I keep on getting a low battery indicator after 50 shots??? The X-mag works great other wise but does not shut down electronicly after 2000+ shots when the LOW BATT indicator comes on.

Do you have a multimeter of some sort? If so, check the voltage on the battery. It should be 18+ Volts. If it gets around 17 Volts, it stops functioning. Charging the battery for a 24 hour period is a big no-no. When you charge a rechargeable battery, once it's fully charged it starts getting really warm. This heat is the battery disapating the charge in the form of heat since the battey is already full. I always let my battery charge until it gets warm and then pull it. This is usually takes about 2-3 hours and it always charge to right about 20 Volts.

Check the voltage of the battery and let it sit for a day or two and check the voltage again. If it's gone down any, there is a bad cell in the pack and you need to get a replacement. AGD will replace the pack for free. Just call them and tell them your gun serial number and the problem.

      17.02 volts

17.2 volt is all I could get out of it. It never ever got warm. Even after 24hrs of charging. How come I get a green light then? I was told by JJ (I think) at air gun to do so. I call them up thanks

ecause the green light doesnt measure voltage, it measures Delta -V, the drop in voltage that occurs when the battery is fully charged.

            I'll do just that.

Thanks for the help. I'll call it in on monday. (ROB)Should I send the X-mag or just the battery and charger?
