    field strip screw

    someone told me i should take off the field strip screw when im not playing
    something bout ... less stress on the spring
    is this true? sounds like a pain in the butt to always do that


    I do know the AO sig rules, I just want a free sig pic, that's all! :mad:

    Well maybe it would make more sense to remove the entire valve assembly (bolt n all) in order to remove the tension on the spring.

    It's how I store my gun (valve and bolt removed), however I'm also using a LVL 10 and the longest spring so I have a lot of tension to release.

    It is a good idea to remove the tension from the springs if you plan on leaving them sit for a while (blowbacks lose their spring tensions after long periods of time) etc.
