ACE Software 2.1-2.21?

Here's a question for you.

I know that AGD-E has 2.21 I believe which allows ACE 00, 01 & 02. Over here, we only have 2.1 which allows ACE 00 & 01.

Can we have our SFLs and X-Mags flashed to 2.21 or do we have to stay at 2.1 if we're in the US?

Also, why the difference? Wouldn't it be a simple matter of sending the file by email or something ?

Well I just sent in my X-mag to get the software updated because I didnt have the 02 ACE mode. So I sure hope it gets upgraded to 2.21 otherwise it got sent in for no reason. We will see. I told Jon the reason I was sending it in, he never said they couldnt upgrade it, so Hopefully it works out.

AGD-E is advertising the 2 modes of ACE while here it's only one. I'm just curious as to why and can we upgrade?

Just an UPDATE for yall...

I just got my X-Mag back from AGD last night with my software upgrade.

AGD version 2.4 It now has the 02 ACE mode and the SPS limit was raised to 20 whe nin Ace 00.

OOOH! I like the sound of that. Now I need to find a month where I won't need my X-Mag... Maybe it can wait until December!

If you're going to IAO or possibly even Megameet, the techs can flash the board. No need to send it in.

The SPS on my E mag goes up to 16. So can someone tell me more about the software upgrades. Can I just send in the board?

IF it's a regular E-Mag (not X-Mag or SFL) then you won't get up beyond 16 (MAYBE 20). The X and SFL E-Mags have the ACE, and with the ACE off the SPS limit is 16 (apparently 20 now with v2.4) and 24 with ACE on.

They may not upgrade your E-Mag baord. I would call the factory to get a firm answer on that one.

Emag Valve and Xvalve are functionally the same. Xvalve is lighter by 3oz. No sense in getting it except for weight issues.

As for the board, you can get replacement Emag boards. Xmag boards are not available as replacement parts.
And yes, there is a difference. Xmag boards do not have the burst mode jumper any more. They used its spot for the ACE connector.

Honestly, unless you can pull more than 16bps, I wouldn't worry about it.

Over the chrono at MGO I was only able to get 14, and that was in Hybrid. But then again, that was the first time I had played with an E-Mag and it was the stock trigger, so I wonder what I could get now with a Timmy trigger and a refined finger... ???
