Front block on a mag.

I know that a front block can be put on a mag. I've seen pictures before. I heard that the front block takes away the work of the on-off pin or something like that(I could be wrong) and also makes the trigger pull super soft, but it does not lose it's snappiness. Any input or ideas? I think it would be a cool thing to do, to combine the two best mechanical high end semis into one beastly marker.

someone could probably make a hybrid mag/cocker, but i dont think it would make it into the best marker ever. ive seen a picture of one too, and they are damn cool

punisher's did one a bit back. The idea is the sear is toggled by a ram controlled by a trigger-actuated 4-way. I've never shot one, but I imagine that it will change the feel and possibly the pull of the trigger.

It would be interesting to see if you could achieve an RT effect by setting it up in such a way that it would use both the standard trigger rod and a ram linkage... reminiscent of hybrid mode on an emag, but with mechanics rather than electronics to trip the sear. I would imagine this would be do-able, but you might have to change the 4-way/ram so that it only tripped the sear. This would allow the sear (and the ram) to reset by the force of the on/off pin and give you the reactive trigger return of a mag, but a trigger pull more akin to a cocker.

Pretty close to what I'm doing. I'm using a MAC valve and cylinder to make my own electro mag. Theoretically anyway. Is anyone else actually doing this yet? If so care to compare notes?

yep.. already built an electro-pneumatic mag grip a while back. optical trigger, integrated rail, and gave it an optional manual override too, just incase.

You forgot the best part about it, you can mount stickie grips on it :) . That's very cool nicad. What programs did you use to design the milling pattern?
