Valve issues classic & level 10 RT

hi guys here is the deal....

ISSUE 1 ***My brother has a classic mag. When he pulls the trigger for the first time.. it double feeds. the bolt comes forward a tad.. just inching the paintball into the bore and recycles... then another ball falls into the breach. then he pulls the trigger again... and wham double fire.

It is not the ball detent/ nubbin.. i haveswitched his nubbins from the wire to the plastic and back again. On the first pull of the trigger the valve also hissed... like not enough air is getting to charge the bolt.

ISSUE 2*** Now i played today with my Proline MICRO EMAG 2000 w/ level 10 AWESOME!!! flawless day no breakage even with field paint. BUT>>>>>>

I convinced my buddy from work to buy an automage over a shocker.. he got the Black RT-PRO w/ level 10... first time using it.... He had some issues. these were his issues and of which i could not fix on the field nor could explain:

1***At the bottom line adapter... when he screwed in his nitro tank or a remote adapter.. it leaked... right from the threads.. it should not do that... what should he do to correct this?

2*** ISSUES with his LVL 10*** exactly the same problem with my brothers classic mag.... when he pulls the trigger almost every 1st time... it HISSES from the power tube portion and double fires... then it fires normally at a sustained rate... until he stops.. then it happens again...

BUT he has the level 10 in it... how do i correct this.... he doesnt know anything about mags or the level 10. and i feel bad.. cause i talked up mags to him a nd convinced him to buy the best kind of gun ever.. and it was down/ underperforming all day.. it was optimal conditions today for paintball by the way.

so how do i fix.. or do i send it to TOM at AGD and have him werk on both guns issues.?

anyways, i have the same issue with the double fire, i'm not sure why it is...

as for the bottom line leak, try replacing orings

already tried replacing orings on everything...and temp solution was using teflon tape.... that is ghetto though... there had to be a better more professional solution for this professional gun.

your botom line is slicing your tank o-ring. I had it happen to me.. Lemme guess, he is using a crossfire isnt he? that is what happened when i had my 68 stubby

yeah he is using a crossfire but it is not slicking the o ring... thanks

use some fine sandpaper lightly insde the thread area. this should remove any burrs.

does your buddy have a reg? if so, whats the output pressure and how much air in his tank at the time? when my tank starts to get low i have the same issue. (pmi tank preset at 850psi output)

try changing carriers and/shims.

he had a full tank 3000 psi.. fine sand paper is a good idea thanks on that one

As for the level 10 issues, go to a larger carrier. If that causes leaking try adjusting the field strip screw and see if you can stop the leak (you often can). If not, go back to the original carrier and the next shorter bolt spring.

Also make sure you keep the whole thing well lubed, especially the carrier o-ring. It's ultra important.
