    Help Minimag Problem

When I pull the trigger it fires and then when I let off, the sear goes half way to the fully cocked position fires then goes to the fully cocked position I oiled the on/off pin, replaced the all the on/off o-rings, the bolt isn't worn, as far as I know the sear isn't worn. Nothing should be worn I've only shot about 4-5 cases through it so the gun is fairly new... It doesn't make sense why it would be doing this unless there is something messed up on the inside where I can't get at it... I run nitro if that matters... Should I try buying a new sear and see if it works? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

take your valve out and check the bolt spring.... put the bolt spring and the bolt side by side..... the spring should be taller then the bolt... if not then it needs to be replaced..... having 1-2 extra bolt springs on hand is always a good idea.... springs when held in a semi-commpressed state, like the way they are when our valves are in the mags, will loose their uncompressed shape over time just as much as with normal use....

I will take a look, when you say put it side by side should the spring be on the lip of the bolt or just next to it on the ground?

if the spring isnt't long enough do you need a new spring or could you stretch them back to a good length

side by side meaning each on the table next to each other....

as far as strething it back out.... you would be better of just getting a new one.... besides once you see/hold it you sould see that tring to make it longer is kinda pointless... as soon as you put it back in it will be compressed again... and not as strong

it was my bolt spring!!!!!!!! I looked and it was above the bolt but just barely so I put my back up in which is kinda compressed but not as bad and it shot good. except sometimes if I shortstroke it theres a big leak down the barrel and I just close the on/off (pull trigger back)and then everythings normal. whats that all about? all my powertube o-rings are brand new...
