    Lvl 10 Shim question

My Lvl 10 was leaking so I put in a smaller carrier (1.5), and it would still slowly leak out of the barrel, But it was a shim leak. It would leak with anymore than one shim in there.

Anyway, Does a lack of shims create more chopping?? The bolt still feels soft when it hits my finger, but I haven't had a chance to chrono.

Also when I Flip my gas supply ON the gun shoots once. what's that about? Didn't do that before.

for the shooting when gassing up just hold the trigger down when you screw tank in.

Shims don't affect the chopping. The shims affect where the bolt will start to vent. If more than one shim causes a leak then use no more than shim. It may even be advantageous to use no shims. One shim may be too close to the edge of the performance barrier.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.

I dont use any shims in my LX setup. works great. the shims are only needed if it wont vent quickly enough and you start getting chops.
