Weird Velocity Nut Problem

Ok, I was asked to look at a mag to fix. It was leaking out the back whenever the velocity got up high enough to fire.

I know usually this means the Regulator Piston Assembly, but it was replaced less than 4 months ago.

So I figured i'd try one I knew worked. Well, I was chatting when I was working, and only replaced the velocity nut and sping pack... Forgot the Regulator assembly!

The weird part is, it worked fine with my nut and pack. I put his in my valve, and all was good.

Any thoughts on what strange moon eclipse could have happened to let that happen?

maybe just the spring pack, i replaced mine b4 and now its great. I had almot the same problem. i picked one up for a few bucks at a local store.
