This is not a bad idea... I think I can make this work.
I've been looking for a better way to link my Vlocity Jr to my warp drive and use only one set of 9v instead of four...
I'll just need to get a 4 conductor mod jack, some plug ends to crimp onto the wires and modify the hopper and warp for the plug ports....

hm... i dunno if this will work. assuming you want to run both the power and the signal over the same wires it might not work. the same thing applys with network cable. you have to isolate the data cable from the telephone cable. if a phone rings while data is transmitted and they are not isolated, you will corrupt the data on the line.
now it might be easy to get just the power between the warp and vlocity. i'm assuming the vlocity uses 2 9volts, correct? can you give me a pic of how the batteries are connected? it depends on if they are factory wired in serial or parallele-mag 226

Not that I want to keep beating on an ancient thread, but I just wanted to say that it will work fine (assuming I'm on the same page as you are with what is trying to be done).
With data tribalman is right, however the "data" in this case is just switched positive voltage, so it doesn't actually matter if its a "dirty" signal or not, since there isn't any actual data on the line.
With proper wiring, theres no reason you couldn't run both power and signal through one plug into the warp.

??
I would have never thought of such a thing. But this does sound very exciting and promicing.
Looper, how did you make out with trying it?
Has anyone else tried this yet?????Comment
