a nice on/off drop, revvy (or other agitating loader), retro or x-valve, intelliframe, new body, warp feed, comfortable foregrip. -
When people ask me this question at work (which is pretty often) I sum it up by the 4 big upgrades.
1. GOOD quality nitro system (which you've already addressed.)
2. Intelliframe.
Absolutely the best triggerframe currently available for the automag. I've tried virtually every aftermakret frame and trigger combo, and the I-frame gives the best pull and feel without comprimising the reliablility of the marker.
3. Level 10.
Whether or not you seem to chop alot is not important in my opinion. From my experiences it's that it is possible to chop a ball, and this usually happens at the WORST time. (like when you get excited on the trigger and accidentally short stroke the trigger while trying to bunker someone. . )
4. Retrovalve (i.e. X-valve)
Yes, I know that #'s 3 and 4 come together now, but I list them seperately to let people know that they have the option of getting the level 10 first- - especially if saving up the 200 bucks + for the x-valve is a long way off.
The difference between the RT feeling trigger and the standard AIR valve trigger is difficult to explain. It's well worth the money, especially if increasing your rate of fire is important to you. There's a plethora of other info out there on this stuff, so i'll leave it at that.
of course a good barrel (barrel system) is important also. however, there's alot out there, and many of them perform very similar. SO, im not including this in 'the list' because equally good results may be acheived by a vareity of products. Drops and foregrips and hoppers are also a matter of personal preference. (although i will say that a good agitating hopper is a must)
The 4 items listed are the ones which I have found to maximize the performance out of the automag- - I reccomend them all highly, and have seen the results of following this upgrade path- - it's quite impressive.
Hope this helps,
