Emag rapid-fire dropoff. Could it be the battery?

Works fine now, I don't know what was happening before. Thank you, everyone, for the suggestions and advice.

The sun had already set, when I decided to put a few rounds though my emag. It was really dark, obviously, so I had trouble seeing if I was hitting what I was aiming at. However, the light was good enough to see that when I really hammered on the trigger, I got some major drop off. As the last ball in the string didn't go more than 10-15 feet, and the last half of a 10 or 15 ball string had noticably less distance than the first half. Could it be the battery? It was so low, after shooting off no more than 175 rounds, the battery was dead. I can't think of what else could of caused it, since this is only the third time I've shot it in my yard, and I've never even played with it yet, since I changed all the o-rings. I will test it out tomorrow with a fresh battery, and hopefully it should work fine. Am I right about the battery? Could it be I didn't oil it?

...could it be the battery? well, perhaps, but I would be checking out the air system. Input pressure, connections, air flow restrictions, slow reg recharge, etc.

Input pressure = 800-900 psi from 88/45 PE, according to PMI site
connections = didn't hear any leaks or anything, I've never had a problem with them before
air flow restrictions = I've heard the q/d and pro-connect might restrict flow, but nothing this drastic, and, like I said before, I've never had a problem

If the gun shoots, then its not a battery problem.

Shoot down is usually a restriction in the air flow somewhere. Now you have to isolate the source of the problem.

Verify your air source. Then, I'd check the on/off assembly, to see if the o-rings are ok and in the proper places.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.

          Start at the source.

Try another air system, your's could have bit the bullet.

I'm going to try my test again tonight, but I still don't see where there could be anything wrong. The tank has done nothing but sit on a shelf since I last used it, when it worked perfectly. Well, whatever, I'll shoot it again tonight, and hopefully my eyes were deceiving me, or the problem will magically disappear.

How much pressure was in your tank?

If you've got lvl 10 this is key...

No, I don't have lvl 10. I got the tank filled to 3k about an hour before, so tank pressure was not an issue.

My Emag shot perfectly today, so I don't know what happened. I also adjusted my trigger a little, so it's as short as it can safely be. (ie wont fire if you bump the gun, blow on it, etc.) God I love this gun! It is so fun to shoot, I must have shot about 5-600 in just a few minutes. I also tried the roller trigger method. It's pretty damn fast, but you can't really aim it.
