Would you recommend an RT Pro?

I am looking to get away from the normal everyday electros (Impulses, Angels, Intimidators, Matrices etc) but I would still like to keep a decent ROF. I was also looking into EMags, which I really like, but an RT Pro would save me quite a bit of money. I was wondering how the ROF and feel of an RTP are. Also, I have a preset PMI 48/3000 tank, would that be good enough for a nice amount of reactivity, if not, where can I get one of these on/off pins I've been hearing about. Thank you.

the rt pro is the fastest mechanical marker on the market. it comes tourney-ready out of the box, and is very reliable and durable. it is rather simple to maintain, also. in terms of the preset tank-
an adjustable is a very nice thing to have, especially if you want to adjust the trigger to your preferences. however, it is not a must. you will be able to play with a preset tank. hope that helped.

Yes it did, thank you. Does anyone know about the on/off pin I was talking about? Thanks.

Every mag has an on/off pin fitted to it. It's how the gun works. There are different sizes based on the rails and other components of the gun.

The best way to manage reactivity is the input pressure. Messing with the on/off can lead to accidental full auto or the gun not firing at all.

got a rtp a few months ago. i also have a brand x walmart special (triton someting) and a tippmann 98 custom for comparison.

          setup:
          rtp centerfeed
          4.5k psi 68ci adjustable reg
          12v revy

          so here is my take:

          pro:
1-faster rof that the tippman. the triton is faster than the tippman and almost as fast as the rtp but the trigger is funky and most people who use it chop balls like crazy.
2-built well. lots of machined stainless steel/alluminum parts and little plastic. the 98 uses cheaper manufacturing processes but it is also build like a tank
3-reactive trigger cool but took me a while to get used to
4-clean simple good looks. i like sleepers so i think i think it could be toned down a bit more but that is what customizing is for
5-i have an adjustable reg but could have gone with a preset (800-850 psi is a good reactivity pressure for me)
6-"oooh you have a mag? cool! can i take a few shots?" main comment from other players onthe field
7-when i had problems with my rtp, airgun designs answered my questions personally in the forum. not many manufacturers will do that.

          con:
1-not as reliable as the 98. had it fail on the field a couple of times with one requiring complete disassembly. imho the 98 is the ak-47 of paintball guns
2-pricy. 4x the price of a 98 which would more than cover the cost of a ebolt or response trigger for the 98 to boost the 98s rof
3-not as ergonomic as the 98 but not bad
4-lack of a decent sight rail. i dont know why the rtp has a different sight rail than the emag or rt. its really cheesy. the 98 can take the skinny dovetail or weaver mounts.
5-took a while to get the level 10 to work even though it was factory installed.
6-i eat a [email protected] tank in about 800-900 rds and sometimes have to go back to the tippmann cause the field i play has co2 but no hpa. you will probably have to refill often with your 48/3k

i really like the rtp and if i had to do it again id still purchase one. however, i still really like the 98 because its cheap, simple and reliable.
