    macroline or microline?

I am finally putting a drop forward on my mag and I will need to run a new gas line to it. I don't know what kind of line I need. I suppose I could use braided stell like comes with the mag, but what about the other types? Do you suggest 90 degree angles too? Any suggestions are welcome.

    Thanks.

Macroline over Microline. Thats a definite. As for fittings, you just have to see what you drop calls for.

Personally I only go for steel braided hose. It is more limiting because it is a set length, but it is ridiculously reliable. If my memory is correct, even macroline is only recommended to operate up to 500psi(way below what you will be putting through your mag). Now the hose will take more than 500psi, but it will weaken over time, and possibly burst later. I know many will tell me i am insane, but i have seen it and experienced it too. I only say this for your info. Macro line is cool, just realize its properties and be prepared to keep an eye on it if you run high pressure through it. good luck picking some hose

Hmmm, my macroline actually has a psi rating printed on it, and it's rated over three times more than 500 psi. Are you sure you just didn't have some bum lines?

Hmm..ok, well that is cool. The hose I had said that it was meant to be reliably used under 500 and would burst at like 1000. More power to yall if you can get hose that is high pressure. Heck if I find some I may have to convert(haha).

Talk to Tunaman. He gets the high-test stuff. Seen it myself. Real nice. I believe it's called Parker macroline.

                newbie...

macroline is made to withstand about 1500 psi, with any tank, the highest output you will see from any tank is 1200, and automags need atleast a 750 psi input

macroline is alot better than micro, and i prefer it over SS hosing because i change my bottoline configurations too often and i dont like to spend $10-20 on a new SS hose each time i change it

just make sure you get the good macroline, and i would suggest that you buy it from tunaman, he has the Parker Pro-Flex macroline, the best type of macro that there is available

but if you really want something that is super-durable, but will let you change your hose configurations often, get the smart parts shocker line and fittings

it is 2x the size of macro, and 2x as strong, and there have been MANY stories of how the hose actually outlasts the fittings with shocker line

Thanks for the advice everyone. I am planning to go with the braided ss for now.

                        MACROLINE

With all the talk of lightweight bodies/rails/frames...

just remember that a macroline set-up will save you about 4oz's over a comparable SS set-up. Same as an ULE mainbody vs. a SS mainbody.

Cut the macroline square, replace it (or trim it, when the ends get scored) and it's great stuff...If you don't ever want to think about air lines, and don't care about extra weight, go with SS braided line.
