    blowback is when part of the air used to shoot your paintball is diverted to the bolt and "blows" it "back" to a locked position against the sear, thus rendering the gun able to fire another shot, MAGs are a blow forward, the spring surrounding the bolt returns it to a rearward position, hope this helps, I'm here all night, don't forget to tip your waitress

      Residual air that rides up the feed tube, and bobbles the balls... can result in chopping.
