LX Powertube tip rounded off

Last night when i was trying to get the powertube tip off my LX the wrench slipped a few times and started to round of the edges. Will this effect performace.

Also i was adding a shim, because occasionaly the bolt would stop and not reset until I pushed it back with a squggie. Adding another shim was the correct thing to do right?

Rounded tip doesn't affect anything until it keeps you from being able to get it off.

Correct on the shims.
