    Installing a foregrip

I got a new rail from AGD, its a basic rail, however the hole where the foregrip is not open. Do I have to drill this and then tap it for the threading for a vertical adapter? If so what is the tap size for the threading? Is the threading standard?

No tap. Just drill it out.

i'm not talking about the rail. i'm talking about a vertical adapter.

okay maybe you guys are just not understanding my question.

Okay thats my rail. When I got it from AGD. that was closed. So I'm assuming if you want to attach a vertical adaptor that looks like this:

You'd have to drill out that hole. Now if you drill out that hole, you'd need some sort of threading in that hole so you can attach the vertical adapter with a screw. So this is why I brought up the issue of tapping the hole to a certain threading so I can screw in the vertical adapter.

Is this how you do it? Or am I missing something here?

okay so there is a screw. so after I drill out my rail, it has to be tapped to have the same type of threading so that the screw can grip the rail no? Because right now there is no hole in the rail where its suppose to go.

is the top of your adapter threaded?? if it is all you need is a clearance hole that is a little bit bigger than the bolt

i don't got the adapter yet. but now that I think about it I see why I don't got to tap it after I drill the hole.

                  Thanks guys.
