    sear pin fell out!

I have a older 99 Micromag body, and a new intelliframe - problem is, the sear pin just sits in the bodies on the 99's and older. The grip frame used to be V shamped to hold the edges of the pin so it stayed in place. Well, the Intelliframe is not V shaped, hence... the pin fell out of my gun this weekend.

I want to tap the hole for the sear pin, and use one of the sear pins from a RT-Pro/Emag. Is this possible, or is that pin to skinny compared to the hole in the normal micromag sear?

    Thanks

As you can see with the attached pictures, the sear pin for the classic/ReTro valve is thick. The pin for the RTP/E is thinner.

However, I don't see why you couldn't drill/tap and use the RTP Sear and Pin. Might be worth a shot! :)

    RTP Sear:
(E-Mag sear has Solenoid plunger attached, RT has different trigger Rod Length)

    RT Sear Pin:

You'll have to be careful in positioning the hole for the sear pin, but I don't see why it wouldn't work...

      rtpro sear?

Hmmm can I fit the Rt-Pro sear assembly in the rail of a Micromag and use the RTPro sear pin then? They cost alittle more to replace, but tip a little smoother anyhow I would think.

      Thanks

You would need to drill and tap a hole for the RTP sear pin to work. It is physically thinner and longer than the AM/MM sear pin, so it would probably not fit into the existiing groove without some modification.

          anyone

Anyone know what would need to be involved to put a RtPro sear in the Micromag body? If I tap the sear pin hole, and widen the slot to take the Roller bearing... is there anything that will be out of adjustment?
