Yes it is very possible..
Infact it is more comfortable with many CO2 users because when you tip the gun down it does not empty CO2 into the valve.AO #765

I use a small drop forward, with a 7 inch kapp dropforward backwards on the first drop forward. It balances my 114/4500 tank and gun out well. The tank is slanted toward the barrel so its very even.

I had that setup
I know this is a Mag forum , I had a cocker that was setup that way, It was cool for about 45 mins , got hard on the arms and tank (cocker regs hang low and were scratching the tank, it was CO2 so no biggy) My mag will be forward with a long enough drop.Angel LCD
