Suggestions for the Next Batch of ULE Bodies

    1) Clamping feedneck similar to that available on the no-rise main body
    2) replicate the cuts on the main body in front of the feedneck (behind the barrel threads) on the other side of the feedneck (infront of the valve); "bookmark" these cuts so that the narrow end of the cut is pointing to the feedneck (as the origonal set of cuts are)

Anyone know when the next batch will be available?

Too bad you didn't say something like this when they ASKED for opinions...

This is what the masses voted for and this is what they are producing.

If you are having problems with the hopper staying in the feed neck, get some grip tape and stick a piece inside the neck. Problem solved.

I think he was referring to the incresed costs that these changes would incur. The ball detent should be fixed in the next patch - progress.

However, there was a vote and feedback thread posted and the members of AO spoke. Opinions were made, we are very democratic here, except for the mods!

Anyway, the changes necessary to change the milling pattern, and making a clamp feed neck would further increase the cost of the ULE body. Then we'd have a bunch of threads complaining of the higher cost of the ULE.

However, I don't see why AGD couldn't produce additional feednecks with the clamp design. This could be a cost effective addition, much like the additional breeches available for the X-Mag.

BTW - Cirumventing the cuss filter, even be putting a dash, will get you a ban. Just a friendly reminder. :) Oh yeah, and don't mess with DaySpring! Us pewter brotha's gotta stick together! Welcome to AO!

          First off, welcome to AO.
          Second, relax.
          Third, READ then post.

Unfortunately, most people post q's first and get flamed since the guys who have been here a while know the answers are for the most part answered already on the board. Search for them.

AGD communicates VERY well to us owners and run ideas and concepts by us all the time for our opinion and concepts PRIOR to manufacture. Naysayers after the fact do nothing to help the situation. The programming for the CNC machines are in place, dies have been cast and molds have been made over long periods of time for the manufacturer. Change is not done at the blink of an eye and custom work is left to YOU as an owner. Just wait for the next prompt by AGD for an opin and it would be readily accepted and digested.

I have only been on these boards a short time and have already seen the sluggo, milled ULE body, Y-trigger frame and AGD company logos passed through us users for a direction and opinion.

          Be patient young grasshopper.

I did do a seach and did come across the poll. What I fail to see is what that has to do with my post. I was making a sugestion for the NEXT batch--a batch that I assume will have to be retooled to debug the detent issue. If a poll has been run, does that preclude me from giving my opinion? "Speak only when spoken to"; is that the motto around here? "(M)ost people post q's"--I don't recall asking any questions in my post other than when the next batch was due (an answer I have already run a search for and came up empty). So what's with the attitude? While I may be a new member, I have been coming to this board for years. What I have noticed is that whenever a person has a problem with a product, gives a sugestion, or asks a simple question they get flamed by the AGD zelots. I don't think I need to calm down, I think a lot of these "senior members" need to give newbies a break. We are all in awe of the copius amounts of time they spend on this site and the meticulous detail of their signatures, now drop the affected attitude and be nice. "The Day Wang"? "Pewter Brothas"? Whatever.

this aint pbnation dude so just chill

this is the most friendly, informative board there is

as for your questions the next batch will have
metal that extends over the valve. and for the release i dont think that has been released yet.
              the milling questions=
i would like to see some type of milling on the back of the body to make it flow a little better.
as for the clamping neck i totally agree with that
i would not mind paying a few extra bucks for that, they are well worth it.

              now lets all get along
              welcome to AO
              have a good day

If you don't care for my answer, then I'm sorry you feel that way.

You offered a suggestion. Great, fine and dandy. Good for you for speaking your mind.

                Now it's my turn...

You called my answer cynical and unfriendly. Nowhere in the post was I either. I said that it was too bad that you didn't speak up when Tom specifically asked for ideas for the ULE bodies. (Any negativity there? No.)

The current design is what the masses voted for and that's what Tom is producing. (Any cynicism there? Nah.)

I gave you a solution to your problem of having a loose hopper up top. Was it candy coated and flowery? Was it what you wanted to hear? No. It was straight and to the point and very "matter of fact."

The only "design change" going into the next batch of ULE bodies is the depth at which the detent bottoms out and extends into the breech area. Something that requires little to no work to fix.

Now, if you want to bad mouth me for telling you that you came too late to the party and your idea for the ULE Body won't be implemented, then fine. Go ahead and do that. I won't lose any sleep over it. I give of my own free time to help newer players and Mag owners tech their guns so they can go out and play. I even give of my own practice/play time to help tech Mags.

Unfriendly? Hardly... I have not ONCE been hard on any new member. I've given them answers to their questions, help with their guns when they need it, and advice when asked for it. I believe the "attitude" does not lie with me sir...

Stand back, everyone! Its his turn! LOL

First off, your entire reply is unfriendly. I didn't ask for your opinion on my sugestions, nor do I care; I was simply making sugestions. Why comment on them at all, "Wang"?

"Too bad you didn't say something like this when they ASKED for opinions..."

Yeah, that answer just screams "friendly". No, wait a second, the only thing it screams is "ASKED".
