    RT Pro Valve issue maybe

    Hey,

So I picked up this used RT Pro recently. I hadn't realized when I agreed to buy it quite how old it was (serial #RTP114)but it worked just fine. So I turned 34 and had a bunch of my friends over to play paintball. The night before we go out (after explaining how trouble free and well engineered mags are)I decided to show them how swell it was. Of course the on/off pin sticks, and it won't even fire.

Taking into account the fact that it was plenty old for a paintball marker, I replaced most of the O-rings. I replaced all the on/off O-rings, and all but the little bitty ones on the long part of the valve stem, and the big one that goes between the two pieces that screw together (the video says you really never need to replace these). It worked great after I chronoed it back up to around 280, but now it leaks for just a little bit if I pull the trigger and hold it. It's not the "lawn sprinkler" effect really 'cause it kind of bleeds off and then stops. If it is the on/off then it is almost like the pin is slowly sliding into its hole (or out). If I pull and let go it's fine, and I can rap off a string really fast with no problems.

Could this be something that just happens with new O-rings? Anybody out there ever replaced most of them and had a problem like this? Should I replace all of them? Maybe wait for a case or 2 and see what happens? Any input would be appreciated.

    Thanks ,

    Marlin

Did you run oil through? You might have had sticky orings.

      Yeah,

I always put it down the power tube when I take it apart. I also put 2-3 drops in the ASA when I gas it. I even oiled the on/off thing. It doesn't act sticky the sear pops forward just fine when I rattle off a few. Maybe it's that littlest one inside the on/off?

Sounds like the on/off top o-ring.
