    E-Mag Probs

Alright.. So far I used my E-Mag 3 times in actual games. The first time dissapointed me (lvl 10 was not tuned), then the second time was great! I had no problems at all after tuning it, and today was my 3rd time. For some reason, at the field my electronics did not work at all, they just died on me after I dry fired a few times. The battery was charged over night. But for the time when the electronics did work, every time I pulled the trigger, some shots did not fire, it was skipping shots. So I figured the magnet was too far away from Hall Harness, so I played around with the magnet and it the marker did not fire in any position I put the magnet in, then the electronics just turned off. I ended up playing in Mechanical mode the entire day (which is fine), but LX seemed to hit the ball a little too hard and would cause it too chop, does Mechanical mode make LX pinch balls a little harder due to extra pressure to push the trigger back? I might have to send my gun in.... I don't wanna spend any extra money, bah.

There could be issues with the electronics, but it's apparant the you still don't have the LX set up properly.

Well, the second time I used the E-Mag, LX seemed to pinch softer... I have the 1.5 Carrier w/ 2 shims and a Medium Spring. It worked great. But today was a little diffrent. I'll do a little bit more testing tommorow to be sure.. I might just be paranoid

You SHOULD have to change the carrier after 200~1000 shots after you break in the oring. Just recalibrate the lvl x. As for the electronics, make sure you run the battery ALL OUT. To this, just leave the battery on your gun w/o the yellow pin in. After its out, recharge it for 24 hours or so. I had this problem when I first got my emag. I just let it charge till the light turned green(quick charge). However, before quickcharge you need it to be pretty full. I charge it up on friday to play on sat/sun, then let it run out. Recharge on friday etc... You can test it without air. Take your valve off, and press your finger into the hole where the on/off pin pushes on the sear. If you push down on, and pull the trigger(E mode only) the stelenoid will click like it is firing. Test your HAL sensor this way until you get everything just right... Hope it helped

The emag battery is essensialy a cell phone battery. In the manual for my cell phone(s) it says that running the batter low before recharging it helps prolong the life... Maybe I'm wrong so maybe a tech can help ?

Hmm, well, yesterday after cleaning out my E-Mag, I thought that maybe the contact with the battery and the trigger frame was bad, and I kinda just jiggled the red wire that runs across top of the trigger frame, and the electronics started working, but after I pulled the trigger, and would then try to scroll through the menu's, they wouldn't really show, they would like blink. Is there any tech on this forum who would be willing to look over my marker? Or should I just send it in to AGD, I need to update my software anyways...

Check your wire connections and grounds between the battery and the circuit board in the emag.

Check your adjustable trigger magnet. It may be in backwards. If it is, it will not allow the gun to fire properly in electronic mode.

You do not have to let the battery drain before you charge it. This is an old myth. The biggest thing to harm the life of a battery (especially a nickle based battery) is overcharging it. Most nickle based batteries are best charged on a quick charger and can usually be 90% completed in an hour. The charger is then switched to a trickle charge to finish the last 10%. If the battery heats up it is overcharging.

Tune your LX bolt so it works properly. This can be done in manual or electronic mode.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.

Also make sure that the mag in the trigger isnt screwed in to far. I was adjusting my trigger and screwed it in to far and weird things happened. The marker would power up after removing the bat pin. I would pull the trigger and the light would go off, I wouldnt get a blinking light and if I tried to scroll through menu, I would get this garbled screen. Same would repet if I installed bat pin and tried again. I just backed out the trigger mag and things were fine, it really drove me crazy though. Good luck
