I still have not played with the gun yet, but during my setup and debugging I noticed that it uses a large amount of gas. I am using a preset 800 psi 3000 crossfire tank - I shot off around 100 shots and it dropped from 2800 - 1300 psi - Can anyone explain how to get better efficiency or is the emag know to be a gas hog / or is it a problem perhaps with the tank...

Theres a difference in efficiency if you were dry firing and if you actually put paint through the marker when you fired it.

really? I thought a 'Mag released the air that was in the chamber. How does the valve know if there is a ball in the breech or not?Theres a difference in efficiency if you were dry firing and if you actually put paint through the marker when you fired it.

The gun will use the same amount of air whether a ball is in it or not as long as you dont change the velocity between(obviously). My Emag has great efficiency, even off the level 10(I still cant believe it myself). I cannot believe your gun used that much air for a hundred shots. How small is your tank? As far as I know the only way to have "better" efficiency on mags is to use a barrel that has a good effective length and shoot paint that fits it. good luckComment

What sort of efficiency? What kind of barrel and tank are you using? Looking to maximize air myself.... :)Originally posted by kenny45749

I have an Apacolypse 2k 45/45 and shoot the stock barrel. From what I have seen so far I get 750 good shots plus change off a good fill. I thought my efficiency would be gone with the level 10, who knows.Comment

I am shooting this weekend for the first time at a field here is Vancouver - I will update you all. I was dry fireing when I noticed the gas consumption and was surprised. I have been shooting a minimag since the year dot and I guess it is just quite a bit different to that - I have not crono'd yet so I may have the velocity too high.
BTW I am shooting a 68ci 3000 psi Crossfire preset to 800psi
Still that been said I cant wait to get out there and shoot the emag.
stay tuned

Well, first weekend with the EMAG and the consumptions seemed reasonable, blasted 2500 paintballs through it / no breaks. The consumption is not too bad at all - Love this game!! Love this Marker!!Comment
