6AA Batteries in Halo -> 1AA Battery in Halo?

I usually play speedball, and wouldn't mind losing those other five batteries. As long as a single batter would last me 1000rds, I would be happy.

Is the output of the battery pack (1.5*6=) 9v or is it 1.5v? I ready hitech's(?) post about a "one battery world," but I don't want to take any chances.

    Has anyone done this before?

I really just need a wiring scehmatic, or instuctions. If it were 9v, wouldn't it be easy just to plug in directly one of those box-like 9v batteries?

I realize this is a basic question and I could probably figure it out through trial and error, but I just got my Halo back from Odyssey for the TE upgrade and I really don't feel like sending it back to them with a fried board.
    Respect that.

The batteries are wired in series to make 9V. No, you cannot use a regular 9V battery because they don't put out enough current to make the HALO feed properly.

To reduce weight, get Energizer Lithium batteries.

          Jaymz - I do.

It's not an issue of making my marker lighter because I get tired carrying it.
