    Millin Standard Feed...

Hi, just so you get my perspective, im poor :P I dont have enough money to get a nice fancy ULE (yet) even if i could get my hands on one :P But im frustrated with my hopper sticking out so far on my standard feed... so i was wondering if i could cut the standard feed tube down a little so the hopper would not be so high and so far out...
    a) would it work
    b) is it worth it
    c) professionally done or something i could do myself
    d) how much to cut
    e) hot to go about it

i would apreaciate any input from anyone... thanks a ton guys... AO has yet to fail me :P
Last week i thought i was indecisive, but now im not sure anymore...

    It works

Did it on my old standard feed, you have to leave enough for the elbow to still attach to, or others say to only take off about the size of a paintball, 0.68". You can use a copper pipe cutter, just make a ton of passes. The most important thing is to clean up the inside edges so no balls will get cut or stuck when your done. IMO I believe it was worth it, brings the hopper in tighter.

It will make your profile smaller, but it will also lower your feeding speed on an already slow feeding body. I would advise against it, unless you are not worried about feed rate.

Yea, i am pretty sure cutting the feed tube will lower your feeding rate. Anyone care to confirm this?

well, cutting the tube will allow you to have lower ball stack, which means that you are more likely to have ball bounce around. this is same reason for having highrise vertical feed that AGD uses. now, this may be really important for tourney type players, but if you are a recballer, you rarely have to fire long strings at high rate. (who can afford it anyway). If you are using force feed type hopper, it is non issue.

so id only have to worry with any non electrical loader such as spinloader or viewloader or somethign of that sort... something like a revy or halo or evo and itd be fine? <insert any electrical hopper> Thanks for Your Info btw...

I cut my standard feed down to be just large enough for my elbo to fit nicely, and the gun will feed as fast as my hopper can feed it.
I asked TK about the feed speed of the standard body -vs- powerfeed body and was told with a fource feed loader there is no diffrence, and un-noticable diffrence with standard hopper.
So if you realy want to lower your profile get a used Warp-feed and cut your the feed tube.
