Ok, they do make some good points on that thread. For the price, you can probably find a cheap nitro tank for a stabilizer, but it would be a REALLY small tank... I mean, I bought my sideline stabilizer for $55, for that I guess I could have bought a 47/3k tank, and had to drive 25 miles to fill it up... even in the middle of a game because only shooting ~470 shots in a game would kinda suck.
The stabilizer lets me shoot on my 20oz anti-syphen (the kit was $7 and my shop installed it for free) and my 12 oz tank without fear of running out of gas, or freezing up... Just remember that Anti-syphen kits have to be set up for you specific gun... bringing it in with you, or screwing in the tank all the way and marking which was is "up" on the valve will work.
I think the stab is a great investment, and while I haven't used an x-chamber on my mag, I would wager that it would work alot better.
-just my two cents...Hey Zero, how much did that Chipley cost ya?

the regulater is better because instead of just giving the co2 more space to boil off from a liquid, it actually makes the co2 do work to it. The regulaters work by using spring pressures and pistons to only allow a certain volume or pressure of air in at a time. You really can use almost any regulater on co2, but some are alot better then others at not freezing. This is what makes the Palmer special. It is VERY well engineered so that it will pretty much NEVER freeze, and continue to operate well after others have become a chunk of ice.
But it isn't 100% GUARANTEED to stop EVERYTHING. Like I said, when i was showing off 100+ ball strings as fast as my auto-response trigger could go, the AIR valve froze up. I'm unsure if this is because of some old seals, or what, but still, I think if I were using an x-chamber it would have done it alot faster...
But if you have an X-Chamber now and are happy with its performance, you really don't need to upgrade. The palmer may work better, but if you don't notice alot of co2 related problems (freezing over, WILD velocity spikes/drops), it might not be needed.Hey Zero, how much did that Chipley cost ya?

why don't you get the lapc piece that goes in the ver adapter so that you can hook 2 things up to it, and have an anti-syphon,then have it got to the expantion. then have it go to the reg. then it would be expanded, then regulated. how does that sound boys? haha.i think thats what i'm gonna do with my mag before i go hpa. hehe just to have a nast gun running on co2. shockers work wonders with co2. my freind prefers co2 on his shocker, he has hpa on his cocker. so it's all good. if you know what your doingMy Shocker: Fs/Ft
