    Cutting rail assembly

I was toying around with an idea to really cut down a rail, and was wondering if anything bad would happen if I cut the rail assembly so it was flush with the back of the grip? I realize I'd be getting rid of the Z-channel, so I would have to be more careful when I took the valve out, but is there anything else?

The z-lock assembly is also there to make sure you don't unscrew the reg assembly when adjusting the velocity. And it's a last ditch safety thing if your field strip screw breaks.

I would think it would make the valve kinda wobbly too. the valve sinches up against the rail when you tighten the feild strip screw. seems like a bad idea to me.
