Has anyone else had a problem with a HPA tank not threading into an ASA? I bought a PMI tank 68/3000, and it won't thread nicely into any asa's. The drop that I currently want to use, it won't thread in at all. It's as if they were different threads or something. The one asa that I can get it into doesn't fully depress the pin valve enough to pressurize the valve. I called PMI and they said that because the tank has stainless steel threads, I need a better df. Do I really need a new one?

Hmm, are any of the threads deformed or anything? I've never had a problem with any tanks like this, but I've also never used a PMI. Did the recommend a type of drop you should try? -
The threads all look fine. The place that sold me the tank recommended a cp drop, but I think it was just what they sold.Comment

The ASA on my RTPro ate o-rings (chewed them up) and was a pain to screw my tank into. Everysince I switched to my KAPP drop, I haven't broke a single one.Automag RTPRO
