Ok I just got a used automag and I (currently) only have a CO2 tank. I used it and the bolt takes 2 seconds to go back before I can shoot and makes a weird air noise. Now, I'm wondering 1) is this common with automags using co2, and 2) if I get nitro will it fix this. I'm worried that since it is used the guy who used CO2 before me permanently wrecked it.

1) No. This is not common.
2) It may prevent problems up the road, but I don't think this is CO2/HPA issue.
did you oil the gun? did you check the orings before playing with it? Is it a level 10 or plain ol' classic? Was the tank full? What was the weather like that day?
We're going to need a little more info in order to help.
My first guess is that he put the wrong spacer into the powertube. It could also be a worn mainspring and a new one might be needed.
I'll know more once I get some additional info.Comment

Well I oiled it and now it doesn't do it for 3-4 shots. It (supossedly) is a lvl 10. The tank I have is full with a brand new o-ring on it. The weather is 65 degrees. I'm a little scared about taking it apart (the last gun I had was VERY easy to take apart and I've never taken apart this one). I have a benchmark double trigger frame and when you pull the trigger, it pushes up a little rod, well, after I shoot it it comes down, but then 3 seconds later it goes down more allowing me to shoot.

are you sure the bolt is sticking back and not the trigger? my gun's trigger sometimes sticks back and apparently other people have had the same problem with co2. check out the url i pasted, it may help some.

Judging from your description above, it sounds like the pin in the on/off assembly is sticking. When you oiled the marker, exactly how did you do it?Originally posted by Corbet

Since you purchased this Mag used, I would recommend registering it in your name with Airgun Designs. Give Airgun Designs a call and see if they can send you an instruction video for maintaining your Mag. I would also recommend purchasing an Airgun Designs parts kit (skip the third party parts kits... Airgun Designs only!) for your Mag. The kit should have pretty much every part you might need to replace to get the marker up and running properly, with the possible exception of additional shims/etc. for the level 10 bolt.
