Lock in barrel... please read

instead of gettin the barrel miled a mill dif ways why dnot they put the nub that you lock it on in a dif place so one barrel fits all the dif types of feeds?

is it because of the ball retainer? why wouldnt it work tilted at a angle...

Some of the older automag barrels came milled with a T-shaped groove. This way you could either just turn it to the left or the right. I think a lot people didn't like it cause they couldn't find the slot location easily to pull it back out.
