    Flatline problem?

    hey
i have a question about my flatline i
just got it like 2 weeks ago.

    4500psi

i set my output pressure when its full at 850psi
as the air pressure gets lower in the tank the
input pressure goes up to around 1100 or 1200psi
    thats not normal is it?

also when i shoot input drops considerably
like my input is at 1100 it will drop down to about
650psi thats with a single shot. also it drops that far
    during continuos shots.

    any suggestions?
    thanks
    curt

that doesn't sound normal to me. tank pressure will change a little as the tank is drained of air, but it should be only like 50 PSI or less. not enough to be a problem.

as far as the sqweaking and pressure drops. I would try lubing the reg piston and check the reg seat. I know it is new, but it could have gotten a defective seat from the factory.

well i got tired of waiting so i went ahead and took
            the flatline valve apart.
no dirt or anything in it
            oiled the body oring
            regreased the spring pack and
i turned the reg seat around(cone facing down)

well went an got more air and it seams to be ok now
much faster recharge time then before.

i guess this is a good quick fix

              no more squeaking? lol

I would be willing to bet it just wasn't oiled enough at the factory.

There was a new Flatline being used at the field today that did the same thing. The drifting pressure stoped by the end of the day, I would guess that the reg-seat has to work in a little. If it doesent stop you may need to replace the Reg seat, you may have got some "dirty" air that messed you seat.

Flipping over the reg. seat is what fixed your problem. They are very tempermental with the reg. seat facing up in the "proper" direction. I get plenty of flow and more consistent output with the reg. seat reversed.
