12 Volt Modded warp constantly spins...

    Here's the deal:

I've done the 12 Volt mode on my warp. Checking all my connections and such I plugged in the batteries and now the Warp spins *all* the time.

I double checked that the positive terminal(the one without the crown) of the mod was giving a positive 12 volts. I then tried adjusting the sensitivity. With the sensitivity at either end it won't stop spinning.

Anyone seen this before? Or have any ideas for troubleshooting it? Ohh yeah, I tried it again with a 9-volt and it works fine.

    Thanks

Did you use the two 100mF Capacitors like in RobAGD's example?

Those capacitors will clean out the line noise the voltage regulator will put out.

That noise may cause the warp to spin constantly.

      Here's one for following directions....

Hehe, I guess I should have used those capacitors... I was hoping to get away without them.

I put a 100uF on the output and that worked.

Initially I thought that the 12 Volts was regulated again down to 5 or something for the circuit. I'm guessing that's not the case.

      Thanks Potatoboy!
