    Ummm, odd problem....

I was test shooting my E-Mag with new intellifeed/warp, and I saw a strange sight. Once in a while my paintballs would detonate in mid-air before they struck the target, about 15m in front of me. I think it was the balls colliding from some inconsistency or I have a hella fast trigger speed. Insight anyone?

They were brittle paint. When they began to be spun by air friction, they simply burst from centripital force.

Unless the second ball is going over 175fps faster than the ball in front of it, they will not collide hard enough to break

My E-Mag had a mis-aligned muzzle brake that would do the same thing. Paint would break a few feet in front of the barrel.

I unscrewed the muzzle brake (heat it to loosen the red loc-tite), took about 1/64" off the barrel tip, polished it (the bbl tip) up nice, removed all sharp edges from the brake itself, and re-installed the muzzle brake. The stock barrel is my favorite now!
