    Mechanical Triggers and Hissing Sounds...

I have had a hyperframe and an Emag for about 2 years now. I recently bought a ULE body, so I been swapping parts around. I put my old Benchy double trigger back on a minimag/retro valve setup.

When I just start to pull the trigger, like even just tap it, I get a little gas hiss going down the barrel. Is this normal??? Other than that, the gun seems to work just fine...

i know my classic valve does that when i don't pull the trigger all the way back.

but i thought when you get a retro valve it was supposed to stop that?

Try to pull and hold the trigger, and see if it still makes a venting sound like a "pst.. pst.. pst.." \(sorry dont know how else to describe it:) ) If so it sounds like you need to replace the on/off o-rings

Did a little more testing. It starts to hiss when I pull the trigger about 1mm.

well, I tried pulling the trigger and holding it.
With it all the way pulled after it fires, it makes no sound at all.

I think I may have a powertube spacer kit somewhere. I will try that...

Because the hyperframe is electronic and the solinoid just pops the trigger sear, I guess I never would have noticed the problem. :)

          Any other possibilities?

          Thanks,
          Rob

            hissing

it's not a problem, just "the nature of the beast", as they say (provided all your o-rings are good). once you become aquainted with the mechanical trigger, you should have no worries.
