macroline on mags

i hear its not too good using macroline on mags.. too high pressure from the tank to the gun... is this right or should i go ahead and buy my macroline kit?

I never had problems using macro on my minimag, but don't do micro-line with it.

Macro & Micro

Macro is regular sized hose and Micro is teeny tiny stuff that's about half regular size hose.

I am using Micro-line on my 'Mag and it has worked fine over the past 3 years or so.

When my X-valve comes in though, I am going to be switching to Macro-line.

how does what gun you use your tank on going to effect macrohose one way or the other? people that say things like that are uneducated retards. these are the same people that say you cant use a 3000PSI remote on a 4500PSI nitro tank. (forgot about the regulator that takes it down to 800 PSI huh?)

AGD reccomends an input of 600-800psi for the mag. Most Macro line is rated at 2000psi burst. Micro line is rated at 200 psi. Stainless Steal braided is rated at 5000psi. Like xen says, youre only going to supply 600-800psi from youre tank to youre mag anyway. And that all depends on weather you have an adjustable or fixed tank. The point is that the macro "never see's more than 800psi(which is way below its burst pressure). So use either stainless or macro. Dont ever use Micro on your mag, this is for LP use only, like 3 ways on cockers.

actually microline and cocker pnuematic hose is complettely different hose. you are right, cocker pnue hose has a burst of about 200 PSI. but microline has a working pressure of about 800PSI. burst at 3000PSI. very comperable to macrohose.

Generally somewhere in the 800-900 psi region. But this will fluctuate with amient air temperature (and esp. if the tank is left in the sun). Shooting fast will also cause the pressure to drop temporarily until enough of the liquid CO2 can boil off into gas to make up for the lost pressure.

this is how pressure goes in a co2 tank. the pressure is complettely dependant on how warm the tank is and how full it is.
