Nope it isnt.
I dont know who makes it, but I suggest you get another top (or even another assembally if you think its been tampered with), Because aftermarket internals are known to really screw up a mag..Comment

here's another one , the on/off top that came with an automag I got last week . Anyone know what it is ? I think it may be causing major shootdown problems I'm having ."Anyone can slap together a high-end electro , where as building a high-end mechanical is truely an art form" - nuclear zombieComment

Duzz .. as far as I'm aware, I believe that is a very old stock on/off top .. what originally came in the markers of very old A.I.R. valves.
Someone correct me if i'm wrong.. I have on of these in my backup 'magSig image file size too big... MarkM

Yeah, that 2nd one looks like an older on/off top. There are many that would argue that they cause shootdown. Others say no. I changed mine in my older mag. The new tops are not very expensive and its best not to take the chance.
If its from an older mag, check the air passage hole between the back and front half of the valve. You can see it when you unscrew the two halves. If the hole doesn't line up when the halves are screwed together, you should have the back half drilled to match the front. Its quite easy and will prevent shootdown in older valves. Newer ones don't have the problem.Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.Comment
