    On/Off Pin Length Question

Do the pin lengths vary for A E-Micro and a Regular Micro RT?

I just ordered a .740 and .745. Anyone have any suggestions or recommendations on what i should have order so i can possibly change my order?

    Thanks

The E-Micro pin should be about .670"

The standard E-Mag pin is .712", but since the tolerances are different on the E-Micro, it needs a .670" to work properly.

      Question

      BlackVCG:
Any idea why my On/Off pin in my X valve worked with my Micro RT and the same pin didnt work in my E-Micro RT valve in my Micro RT?

I am putting together a micro bodied emag valve setup(with standard length on/off for rt pro). From what I've seen, at least with micro body, trigger rod needs to be adjusted shorter, but otherwise, the dimension looks right for standard on/off. My guess, is that on emicro, the lack of rail (emag rail is thick) led to this.

          Boggled

I am still boggled by this X valve pin not working in my EMicro valve, but it works great in the X valve? I thought they are the same valves? I measured the pin and its .750.

This is in a 2k Micro not a Emicro..

          Thanks for a any help

I have to say I don't find that surprising. I have an Emag valve (which is the same as the EMicro I believe) in my classic mag and using a .750 pin with the Emag Quad on/off top O-Ring it wouldn't fire at all as the on/off pin head didn't even withdraw from the quad O-ring when the trigger was released (meaning the on/off permanently stayed "off"). With a normal round O-ring setup the marker would fire, but with terrible dropoff, because the pin head was only just withdrawing- you could hear the psssssch as the valve rechaged through the tiny gap between the pin and o-ring.

The only solution for me was to file the pin down to .740 before the valve started recharging properly. Whether that's down to production tolerances or it's the same with all Emag valves is hard to say....

                Guys, listen up.

The E-Mag uses a special quad o-ring which prevents the on/off pin from sticking in mechanical mode. To use the quad o-ring, you need an extra short on/off pin. If your E-Mag has an o-ring around the black quad o-ring and a brass on/off top, then you need to use a .712" pin. If it has an aluminum top and just the black quad o-ring at the top of the on/off, you need a .725" pin.

Yes, you can get the E-Mag to work with a regular clear/yellow urethane o-ring, but you'll eventually run into problems of the pin sticking.

At last, a definitive answer to the Quad O-ring conundrum. Thanks BlackVGC, this is what I'd always suspected but needed confirmed.

I was interested in getting my Classic Mag/Emag Valve/Hyperframe combination to work with the quad O-ring so I can lower the solenoid setting and get longer battery life, so I will try making a shorter pin.

                  Cheers

BlackVCG: Thanks for the Info. I am still interested to know why my Xvalve worked in my regular Micro, but when i took the pin out and put it in my EMicro Valve and then put that in my regular Micro, it didnt work?

                    Thanks
