    Running a stabalizer in reverse?

I have a plamers stabalizer that screws directly into the mag valve and has a male quick disconnect to attach the air source. What I want to do is screw the stab into the asa and run it from the bottom of the gun instead of being right in the valve but this would mean that the air would be entering where it normally exits into the valve and exiting where air would normally being entering the male quick disconnect. Will this work or is it only a one way operation?

The short answer is no: the reg won't work in reverse.

Sounds like you want an inline stabalizer. I believe that the only difference between the inline and the sideline is the the top of the reg has the air passages reversed so the input is on the side and the output is at the end. But I don't think that you can easily swap from one to the other without tearing the reg apart changing parts.

So, basically, you'll want to either find a way to hook it up with the current input and output ports... or sell it and buy an inline version of the stab. If you choose the latter route, you are pretty much guaranteed to be able to sell it in the classifieds: the stabs are popular and show up relatively infrequently (particularly the sideline version).

Oops, I meant "direct" not "in-line" stabilizer. Too many types to keep track of... A female stabilizer with built-in ASA would also work.
