Screwed!?

SITUATION: I just bought a minimag and am trying to attach my benchmark drop forward to the grip frame.

PROBLEM: the grip frame holes seem to be too big for the standard screws. holes do not seem to be threaded to hold a screw.

I have tried different screw diamters but does not securely attach to grip frame. do i need to use a screw and bolt combo? what is the best way to attach my drop?

First off, Welcome to AO.
Second, is it a stock trigger frame? if so, you will need longer screws. In the stock frame there are nuts inside the frame (about 1/4 inch deep) that are threaded. I came across your same problem when I got my mini. You should be able to go to a local hardware store with your screw and buy a longer pair with the same threads.
