a few kind of random questions

i have a few random questions

what is the exact on/off pin length and assembly for a 68 classic lvl 10 mag with an e-lcd trigger frame? what would keep a nitro tank from passing a hydro test? how often do they not pass? all answers are greatly appreciated

The link to Automag tolerances is here As far as finding the exact lin length for a eLCD grip frame, good luck. I think the best you can do is to buy a Centerflag pin and go from there. I can tell you that when I did a side by side comparsion I found: stock pin length < CenterFlag pin length < eLCD pin length. I no longer have the eLCD grip frame or I'd measure it for you.

Its been a while, but if I remember correctly from Scuba diving classes, hydrostatic testing has 2 parts. 1. Visual inspection of the bottle's interior and exterior. Things like rust or visible damage can cause the bottle to fail this part. 2. The tank is overfilled by 10% in a controlled environment. If it doesn't rupture it passes. HTH.
    My feedback.

Wow, that's quite an interesting tid bit of information. Would any little tiny scruffs stop a tank from passing hydro, or is it just a bit bigger things?

No, small scratches wouldn't fail a tank. if, for example, say you could see the carbon fibers starting to seperate or the tank took an obvious drop and a normally round edge was cracked or damaged... basically anything that might cause the tank to crack/stress/fail under pressure.

I think the part about visable damage is most for steel/aluminum scuba tanks. I'm by no means an expert, so... take it for what its worth.
        My feedback.

also, the threads must be good.

it's not just the outside that counts.
