Freak length question..

So, with what I've been reading the Freak kit is a good alternative to multiple barrels for about the cost of 2 decent barrels.. I had a question about length.. I dig my 12'' Dye aluminum. From what I hear the length when ordering is a bit tricky since SP doesnt take into account a certain length.. If I read it correctly, if I want the system to be 12'' long, I should go for a 10'' tip?

That's where I'm a bit confused. This will be going on a Minimag if that helps.

just get a 12" tip, (the 12's are from start of insert to end of tip)

Getting a 12 inch tip on an Automag is like buying a 14 inch tip on any other gun. If you want a 12 inch barrel then you need to buy the 10 inch tip. I think that the back is really longer because of the twist lock. I not totally sure, but I have heard this.

That's what I thought. So if I want 12'' total on my minimag, i go for the 10'' tip.. Great.
